Daddy's Birthday Party

This year was a big year for Daddy's birthday party.  Will was very into the idea of a party, presents, cupcakes, decorations so we decided to go all out!  We went to the dollar store to pick out a theme - it was a toss up between a Luau and a Sports Party.  He went back and forth a few times then landed on a "Soccer Ball" party.  Next up was picking out daddy's present.  Will decided that a fake blackberry toy was the best gift.  Awesome.  I let him hold it during the walk home and heard him talking up a storm.  Next thing I know he had opened it and was saying "Daddy no like this, Will keep it."  Smart kid.  But we wrapped it up regardless.  We also made special cupcakes.  This was a two day process.  Baked them one day and frosted the next day.  All very exciting.  Here are some pictures from our fun day!  Happy Birthday Daddy!  We love you so so much!

Step one - Bake the cupcakes

Step 2 - Make sure Gnocchi is fed his kitty food

I hold Sam?

Sure Will - you can hold Sam for the 7 seconds when you think it is fun and then proceed to ditch him to the side and say "All done Mommy."  One day you will think its cool to have a little brother - I swear :)

I on the other hand hold Sam pretty much every second possible when Will is snoozing the afternoon away.   I will never regret being completely lazy, doing absolutely nothing all afternoon and holding my sweet sweet boy.  I literally have a "selfie" from almost everyday of Sam and I snuggling.  My love bug.

Kiawah Island - May 2013

There was much debate earlier in the year if it made sense for us to go to Kiawah this year.  Sam would be just over 2 months and would it even be worth the effort of packing up, sleepless nights in a new place, running back and forth from the beach if the baby needed something all while chasing a 2 year old in and out of the water.  Well thank god we decided it WOULD be a good idea because it was amazing!!!!  Honestly one of the best Kiawah trips we have had yet.  Will was at the perfect age.  Could run all over the beach not getting into much trouble, loved the sand and tide pools (still a bit afraid of the ocean which was cool in May), LOVED the heated pool and of course running day and night with his cousin Jamesy.  It was so fun to watch Will just soak it all in.  From the second he woke up he was either in the pool with Daddy - who let us all know early on the heat did not come on til 8am  - or asking to go down to the beach.  He was non-stop.  Sam on the other hand could not have been a more perfect age for this trip.  He spent most of the vacation asleep on me or Jason in the carrier, in my mom arms, playing on a blanket with Liam or eating.  He slept so well at night (minus the screams when trying to get down) and the whole trip just worked out perfect.

High up ALONE with the birdies, a 2 year old and 2 month old

Sam got his two month old shots on a Friday and the Monday after the boys and I packed our bags and head back to CT!  I was a little nervous leading up to this flight - a 2 year old and a 2 month old alone in an airport and on a plane alone!  Although I was nervous at the same time I was excited to conquer this new test of "can i do it."  We not only did it but the boys were awesome.  Will loves watching these weird dump truck videos and Sam was Mr. Mellow.  All and all it was easy easy.

Waiting to board - sorry Sam bad angle :)
Sam asleep in carrie, Will watching a show with a lollypop!  It was actually kinda relaxing

Figuring out life with two boys

All the help has left, Jason has started traveling again and now its just me and my two boys facing each day as the three musketeers.  It has taken a little practice getting out the door (don't dress Sam first because he over heats by the time I get Will ready) but we are getting better each day!  Here are some of our around the town adventures!

Waiting waiting waiting :)
