Well we finally did it. After 5 days of "picking up his toys" we got Will a scooter. He had wanted one so bad and would eye them every time we were at the park so finally we gave in and ordered one. He was unstoppable and FAST. I was shocked how good he was on it and how fast we all could travel. He spent over 3 hours on it the first morning he got it. Here are some action shots!

Babysitting Sam
As Sam has gotten more and more expressive and excited by everything Will does, Will has become more excited about Sam! It is pretty much the most amazing and heartwarming thing to watch. Will is ask me to "put Sam over here to play" and "put Sam in my crib while you go get my water." That one is hilarious to watch. I basically leave Sam in Will's crib ALONE for a few minutes while I go fill Wills water cup. I actually feel totally trusting of Will that he won't hurt Sam but he does tend to get a bit excited with his jumping. Sam just laughs. Its so sweet. When I try to take Sam out Will always asks for 1 more minute!
Here are pictures from the many babysitting moments of Will and Sam :) Thanks Will I will pay you in gummy bearies someday :)

Your Welcome Mommy - Happy Birthday
For some reason Will told me "Your Welcome" all day when we talked about my birthday. Not sure were we mixed him up with the standard birthday greeting but he sure thought that was it! I'll take it!
It was a great day - 31 feels awesome and I couldn't have a more perfect little family. There were for sure alot of super special things about today - making a cake with Will at 7am and watching him DESTROY a piece later that night, getting some great gifts and cards and having Jason home a little early to have fun at the park. But also today was very much like any other day - I just took a moment to realize how super special it was. Walking with Will to school as he sang "I've been working on the railroad" at the top of his lungs, getting up with Sam TWICE in the middle of the night for the most peaceful moments in the world, nursing Sam while Will snuggled up next to us (head against Sam's head) for a book (The Little Engine that Could) before nap time, watching both boys look at new toy with the same excitement and rocking my sweet Sam to bed over and over as his cuts another tooth looking at him fast asleep in my arms. I could go on and on. All this stuff happens more or less every day but I am so glad it takes things like birthdays to get us hormonal nursing mom's to step back and just look at the wonderful things we have right in front of our eyes. It was a great day - and tomorrow will be a great day too and someday I will look back and long for the exhausting days with my babies but for now I will keep getting up in the middle of the night and treat myself to some extra snuggles and kisses whenever I can :)

Sam 7 Months...Will 2 Years 7 Months
7 Months
~ 20lbs
Will 32lbs
Look at that big boy - still such a baby in so many ways too!
Sitting so good now!
Sam's Likes: Eating a squishies on his own, I mean crushing a squishy on his own. Holds it himself, squeezes the food up and just loves them so much. He also likes table foods like fruit, puffs, mum mum crackers but isnt great at putting them IN his mouth alone. Loves rolling and pivoting to get to new toys and is starting to rock on all fours. We put the "jump a roo" up in the front and he loves to jump away and stare out the window. As each month passes there is more and more interaction between Sam and Will and it is the best thing in the world to watch. Sam watches Wills every move. In the car Will sings away and Sam just stares at him - probably half wondering why he is so loud. Sam is sitting great now. I can put him on a blanket with toys and he will sit until I help him down. Thats the issue he can't get down for sitting up unless he falls over. He still bonks his head here and there and Will always says "Oh no he bonked again!" Just like his older brother he loves tipping over the basket of legos and grabbing at them all. He grabs a lego from on his belly and rolls to his back to have a good look. Then back over to his belly to find more things to examine!
Sam's Dislikes: Being hungry! I mean you can't keep that meat on your bones without 3 good meals a day and LOTS of milk. A few weeks ago I would give Sam solids when it worked for our schedule. Now there is no skipping a meal and I always bring some things in my bag for a snack. Sam has been getting alot of teeth which has made for alot of night waking and troubles going to bed. I think it teeth and I am to much of a softy to let him cry it out in case he is in pain.
Will's Likes: Hard to remember what I said last month but the big things right in Will's world are: Legos, drawing pictures of trains, painting, baking or helping me in the kitchen with EVERYTHING, napping, Lighting McQueen and Mater from Cars the Movie and doing everything "all by himself." This month we started messing around more with potty training. He has big boy pants when he decides he wants to wear them in the house and the first time he felt the wetness from peeing was hilarious. Now he is very clear about "I can't get these wet" but we are NOT potty training him yet. He still pees I swear every 20 seconds and the weather is to nice out to deal with that. I just want to go off for the morning and let Will run around all morning and not be rushing around to find a bathroom. Thats what winter time is for :) He also started school this month. Its a mommy and me and I will post more on that later but he loves it. So many cool toys, mommy by his side if he needs me and a little taste of big boy world. Its super cute! Lots of trike riding too! He is becoming so much better at taking direction. Washing hands, take off shoes, go get your jacket - really neat to see him maturing and allowing him more independence.
Will's Dislikes: Taking turns I think is going to be a dislike for a long time. There is a little boy at the park that has a scooter that he ALWAYS wants to ride. The little boy doesn't let Will use it and tears everytime. Its a good lesson to learn that you can't always get a turn but it makes for an emotional breakdown. He also did not love when Mommy left him at this new big boy class at little beans. Broke my heart to hear him cry but I think next week will go better. Now that he knows what to expect.

Will's First Day of School - Tots Program at Resurrection Lutheran Preschool
With Will being only 2.5 I wasn't ready to put him in preschool this year but thought it would be fun to have a little school setting and community to be a part of. There is a great preschool at the end of the street so it really was a no brainer. It couldn't be cuter. I very warm environment with young and caring teachers and no expectations for the kids other then to explore, have fun and get a hug from mom if they need it. Its a 90 min class and hopefully this will be the preschool he will attend next year in the fall. Will was super excited the morning of to finally wear his "packpack"to school! I got taken down with some awful virus the days leading up to school so Jason canceled a business trip to stay home and take Will. At first I was so sad that I didnt get to take him and then I realized how cool it was for Jason to get to have this memory. Will has so excited to have daddy by his side! The next week when I told him how excited I was to have school tomorrow he said "Oh Daddy takes me to school mommy" HA - thanks Will :)

Will 2.5 Years and Sam 6 Months
Big Brother Will 2.5 Years Old, Sam 6 Months
Sam 6 Months
18.6 lbs
27.5 inches
Will 6 Months
Sam's Likes: Sam has become alot more active in the last month but lets not get crazy the guy loves to just snuggle and look around. He is hilarious. Rolling back to front and sleep on his belly. Sitting up and playing with toys but still face flops a lot. Reaching and rolling for toys or to try to grab after Will for the second where he might be sitting next to his brother. Loves pulling at balloons and watching them go up and down. Holding on to rattles alot more and chewing EVERYTHING. He has two bottom teeth which really didn't give him more then a night of trouble and the doctor said the top two are on there way. Loves sitting in the big boy seat in the bob when we run. He just looks all over and has stiff arms and legs with excitement. Big start with solids. He loves it ALL!!! Apples, pears, sweet potato, avocado, oatmeal, prunes, bananas. Literally does not let a drop go to waste. He is napping plenty for what he needs I guess. Super go with the flow in the AM with cat naps then in the afternoon still crashing when will does giving me a nice 2 hrs to do absolutely nothing productive. Love them for that. Crashes for bed at 6:30pm and loves sucking down his 8oz bottle soon. Sleeping better at night with for the most part one wake up around 5:30am and back down til 7am.
Sam's Dislikes: Hummmmmm. Wearing a bib which is ok bc he is a very neat eater. Being wet at night if he leaks through his diaper, and hates even more being changed in the middle of the night before he is fed. Getting out of his bath and waiting for his bottle - it all just takes a little to long for his liking. Getting his teeth nicked with anything. They must still be a bit sore because he has a really sad cry when anything hits the top ones.
Will's Likes: Funny sayings lately "thats right mommy"..."mommy I have a question"..."mommy will you play with me"..."that cranky crane was doing nice hands mommy, that made me happy"..."mommy remember?" "Mommy put sam over there (pointing to pack and play or exersaucer"
Loves playing with legos, building cars and trucks, the Car's movie and "lighting McQueen", anything construction themed, having picnics,
Will's Dislikes: Going to bed - plays and plays in his crib til 9 sometimes 10 at night! When Mommy and Daddy have to actually do things around the house. He will say "Mommy and Daddy are busy right mommy? (seconds later) Mommy/Daddy you wanna play with me?" To cute! When Daddy travels :( He is starting to understand more the passing time and really misses daddy.

Sam sprouts his first tooth!
Well we are not sure when it actually broke through but today I noticed Sam had a tooth!! I was shocked. Will got his first tooth around 11 months or so - so this is much much different!!!! It kinda makes sense because I have been a bit sore from him nursing like crazy but I never put it together. Sorry Sam buddy - you are such a good little guy.
