Sunday Funday

It was a beautiful day in Chicago today - complete opposite of what was going on in the East Coast for my sister and parents - so we decided to head to the water!! Although I miss (SOOO MUCH) my tiny little baby boy, everyone is right each day Jason and I have more and more fun with our little buddy boy. He spends the whole day flashing these HUGE smiles, giggling up a storm and being so silly. It is the absolute best. It has also been fun trying new things with Will like going out to dinner (early bird special of course), drinks on a patio, taking trips in the car not sitting in back while Jason acts as the taxi driver and today heading out to the water to play on a blanket. Will spent the whole trip to the water being a bit fussy but once we got there he went wild. All smiles, screams, wiggles, legs kicking and arms flying everywhere. It was hysterical - he truly loved being outside on the grass with the breeze from the water. It was a great day and Jason and I feel so lucky to have such a fun little baby boy.

Who is the stud in the mirror?

Will has found the little mirror on his exersaucer. He pulls his whole body over the front to stare at himself - which goes on and on and on.....

"Is that a mirror? I think it is!!"

"Yes it totally is a mirror and that is me!!"

"Now that I take a closer look I do have nice eyes"

Harvey Family Vacation - Kiawah 2011

The Harvey Family has been going to Kiawah Island in South Carolina for the past 7 or 8 years and this year was extra special because Jason and I got to bring Will on our favorite vacation ever! It was so special to not only spend the week with my parents, siblings and uncle but with Tessa, Jamesy boy and Deccie. We had so much fun going for early morning walks on the beach, playing in the pool, rolling around on the blanket in the house, family dinners, golfing, trips to the spa and staying in an amazing house filled with little kids laughter (and some tears :)).

What fun memories we will make each year as our family keeps expanding!
Swimming in the pool in my "No Zone" outfit. Ok so its a little dorky but Will got his fathers skin :)

Loved floating in the ducky with Dad

Kisses for Will P (who according to Tessa had stinky poopy buns)

Nothing like a little YouTube - All Elmo all the time

3 years later - THEY ARE BACK!!!

Thats right - Chris, Melissa, Tessa Girl and Deccie ARE BACK!!! When I moved to Chicago about 3 years ago Chris and Melissa moved to Baltimore 3 months later. Crazy how that timing happened - but I waited and waited and they are back and now a family of 4. What a fun trip we had up to Evanston to see Tessa Girl and meet Deccie for the first time!!! Tessa was such a big girl I could barely believe it and Deccie was the sweetest little thing. I love that Will can grow up near his cousins.

They meet! Deccie (8.5 months) Will (6 months)

Lost in the jungle

After the 3rd time this morning Will pulled the whole jungle mat down on himself I figured he can squirm a little while I snap a picture!

Pretty in pink

Juliana was so nice to have all her little boyfriends over today. Juliana is typically the only girl in the playgroup crew so we all like to take turns holding her to keep her safe from the rough boys. It was a nice change today to see the boys on pink blankets and playing with baby dolls! Thanks Juliana for showing the boys a sneak peak into your world.

Destroying the doctors office

On Monday we had Will's 6 month check-up and Jason and I were dying laughing as we waiting for Dr. J how different this trip was then the other checkups. At the 1 and 2 month checkups we were so careful with Will keeping him wrapped in a blanket the whole time, rocking and feeding him to make sure he was comfortable. At 4 months he was a little braver but still wanted to be close to his mommy and daddy. Now at 6 months we thought we was going to destroy the whole room! He banged his feet on every surface we let him "stand on," destroyed as much paper on the table as he could get his hands on and grabbed at every everything Dr. J used to make sure he was growing like a good boy!

Will was a great boy for the doctor and is growing like crazy: 6 months - 17lbs and 27 inches! See you in 3 months Dr. J - who knows maybe Will will be running around the office on our next visit :)

The little fishes of Kenmore

What do you get when you add sun, heat, pavement, wood chips, mini blow up bath tub and swim diapers - A SUMMER DAY ON KENMORE!!! We fixed up our "front lawn" with blankets and the swimming pool and had Will's buds over. Best $14 dollars I have spent in a long time - the pool is the most used thing in our house these days.

Even 10 week old Liam wanted to take a dip!

Miss Lindsay's Shower Weekend in Connecticut

This past weekend Will and I took a trip home to CT for Miss Lindsays wedding shower. It was a beautiful weekend and we had so much fun seeing everyone! On Thursday and Friday Jamesy boy and Em came down to MoMo's and Grandpa's house. We did so many fun things! Built big big towers, read books, went swimming, played on the swings and even got to eat at Shady Glenn - YUMMMMMY!!!

Awesome new addition to my parents back yard - Will was Mr. Chill in this swing

Jamesy built a big tower with me - then someone knocked it down :)

Will with all his "ugly friends" - Thanks Cousin Maura!

On Sunday it was Miss Lindsay's Bridal Shower. It was so beautiful and my mom and I had a great time while Will and Grandpa stayed home and "rough housed" together. I left my dad some instructions for Will about when he should eat and nap and when I got home I had a little report on everything they had done that day! My dad acts like he doesn't know what to do with babies - but he can't fool me he had it all under control and when I got home Will was down for a second nap! Super Grandpa!!!
