A day filled with funny moments

I love LOVE having an iphone.  Even if I couldn't make calls, get email, connect to the internet I would still carry it everywhere for the camera alone.  I love being able to snap a picture of the silly moments that happen in just every day life.  Here is a quick summary of a day with my bud.

Starting the morning off right with Blueberry Pancakes

New way of walking - hands behind the back

Being very helpful when Daddy works from home.

Rocking a hawk!

Quick drive with Liam

Lunch date with Liam after music class

Trip to the book store where Will would rather climb the shelves of toys

All in a day!

Bieber Fever

I must say I do have Bieber Fever, but this morning Mr. Will had a real case of Bieber Fever.  We went over to Jenny and Justus's house early this morning and when Will saw Justus waiting for him at the top of the steps he let out a scream like a 13 year old girl who got their first glimps of the Biebs himself.  It was priceless.  I wish I got it on video but for right now I don't think I could ever forget that high pitch scream that went on for what felts like a lifetime.  HAHA Classic.

Love the little personality and new words/screams that are shining through on my little baby boy!

Hittin the gym

This morning it was a little raining and cold so we were not able to get our exercise at the park.  We peaked into the Sheil Park Gym and were excited to see it was open.  The man who ran the gym was so nice and turned on all the lights and let us play with the basketballs.  Jason taught Will some of his best moves and I stayed far away from teaching Will anything about basketball.  The only thing I did on the court was get concussions and miss layup after layup.  Its all you Jason!

Big basketball!!

Deck Party

This will be our third summer at our condo and I have a feeling our deck is finally going to get some use! I got some new toys on Craiglist for $20 dollars, water table is enroute from Amazon from my mom and dad for Will's birthday and splash pool to come.  Over the past two weeks of "summer" in Chicago we have already had lots of fun.  Emily and Liam have come over early in the morning and Griffin and Katie in the afternoon for a swim.  I can see myself sipping coffee while Will plays around all summer long!  Will thinks its pretty cool to just go round and round the table - but if he gets bored of that we have lots of things to do.

Checking out all his "new" toys

Our first dinner on the deck - I see lots of these in our future

First swim of 2012 in Chicago

3 minutes later Will was in the tub splashing all over

We were having so much fun we yelled over to Griffin to come play!!

New Shades - Now he just needs to learn to keep them on!

Knock Knock - Will's there...

It was the funniest thing to hear Will and Justus cracking themselves up over this.  This went on for a while.  Best buds forever.

Down da beach...

Over the next 3 months Will and I will be spending 25% of our time in Kiawah!  Life is good.  We only left daddy at home for our first unexpected trip with Em and James but he will be joining us for the rest of the beach fun!  We are super lucky.  Our first trip down to Kiawah was with Em, Jamesy boy and of course my parents - it is there house and we decided they could stay.  What a blast we had.  So many fun memories with the boys - Will's major and continued obsession with James bursting out into complete excitement any time he could spot his big cousins, silly games the boys made up in the doorway, running all over on the beach, pizza and ice cream, more ice cream, lots of baths for 2, snuggles with grandma and grandpa watching Elmo, "sharing" all the shovels and pails, lots of hugs and kisses and on and on and on....

I hope these pictures can even begin to do this trip justice.  Memories for a lifetime.

Beach bum - first day scoping out the sand

Raining day ice cream - Will was very jealous of James and not to impressed with the muffin we shared

Typical Beach Scene - kids wandering all over

Relaxing in the shade

Cozy buds with Grandma watching Elmo shows

Green Triangle game - I got Jamesy hooked on this ipad game

The end of the cutest game ever... video to follow

"Cheeeeeese" - Will; "5 golf balls..all mine!" - James

My little sweetie face!

Playing with Thomas while James wasn't looking

Love!

Doorway game, "Will push back" - James

Full speed ahead - hug to follow

Part Two: Deccie Doodle

Next up it was Deccie's turn.  Jason, Will and I headed over to the Harvey house Saturday morning ready for some bear cub fun.  I was glad that Will and Deccie got over their initial excitement that involves full out tackles of hugs and kisses so they could co-exist and actually play!  After morning naps for both boys we went to Gymboree!  Will and Justus (I mean Declan - we snuck Deccie in under Justus's name hehe) had a blast.  It was a great way for them to get some energy out while not having to worry about them eating sticks or having any bad bonks while Chris and Melissa were gone.  That is the last thing we needed.  The instructor was this over the top guy who loved calling out each of the kids name.  Deccie would look at the guy like "Dude I am not Justus" and the instructor kept saying "He has such a curious look."  Jason and I just kept laughing because we knew the truth - that wasn't his name.  After we got home we had a big lunch and Will went to bed.  Deccie wasn't real tired so we let him stay up longer.  He was hysterical touching all the toys you could tell Tessa would NEVER let him touch.  Love that little boy.  Both boys were so good, did great nappies and had lots of fun!  I must say though - twins are very tiring :)

Watching a little Barney to make the transition of Dada leaving easier!  He sat here for about 30 seconds and was off chasing Will

Taking advantage of Mother Goose being gone

Babysitting our little buddies Part 1

Finally we live in the same state as Chris and Melissa so when they needed to lean on us for some baby sitting help we could say YES!!!  First up we had Tessa for an afternoon.  She came over to our place around 2pm and I thought once Will got up from his nap we would head over to Gymboree for Gymnastics.  Tessa however was not so into that idea.  She was really wishing for some princess stickers and how could her Auntie say no to that face.  So I packed up my two little buds in the car and headed to Michaels praying they had princess stickers!  We looked all over the store and finally came across more princess stickers then we knew what to do with.  I think Will touched every sticker in that store and Michales on Clark might never look the same.  We were about to checkout with all of our princess goodies when we came across THE PRINCESS DRESS - and again how could Auntie say no to that face.  Two 40% coupons later Tessa was the proud owner of princess stickers and a new dress.  It was adorable and so worth the trip!!  Will adores Tessa and she is so sweet with the "baby" (even though Will is only 10 weeks younger then her pest of a brother :) ).

Come back soon Princess Tessa - we love you!!!

Headed to the park - Yes Will is in Tessa's purple fleece, we had a chedder bunny situation on the car ride up

Morning turf workout

Yes Mr. Will is still a very early riser!  So while most people are rolling out of bed at 7am we have already watched Sesame, played in the kitchen, had our breakfast and are off for our morning workout!  It has been awesome because we can now go running before Will's first nap (both of us!).  I run first while Will relaxes in the stroller and then it is his turn to run.  On the weekends the turf is wide open and on the weekdays we have to play block and tackle with the school kids.  Yesterday Will decided to play toss with some 6th grade boys.  They were really sweet to him - it was funny.  So as much as I hate that 5am alarm clock - nothing like getting a jump on the day!!!!

Catch me if you can!

Happy little walking boy

I love my Elmo and Elmo chair!  Being silly in the morning

Kicking it in his stroller at starbucks - sometimes we get a little of track too!

Drive vs. Fly

Since Will was a baby has been so bad in cars.  After just a mile into a car ride he will already start getting mad.  I did something thinking and realized that Will has spent more time in an airplane then he has a car - which I thought was pretty funny.  In Will's first year of life he probably has been on 10 round trip flights and for the most part is pretty good on planes.  We have gotten the whole process down pretty well too and he loves looking out the window now!

Sharing our seat - which gets tighter and tighter each trip
Breakfast at the airport before boarding

For car trips over 30 minutes yes I have broken down and let him watch Sesame Street on Jason's Ipad.  This was when we drove home from my sisters.  We pretty much never take long car rides so we don't need to pull out the big guns that often.

Walking through Connecticut

At the end of Feb Will and I took a quick trip to Connecticut so I could say goodbye to my dear friend Katie Gordon before she (and Hubby Pete) leaves for Singapore!  Kelly, Katie and I had a great night out on Friday - starting with Happy Hour at 4pm :) - Will was with my mom, Em and James :).  It was an action packed night but also an action packed week!  One morning in CT Will and James were playing around and Will figured out he could pop himself up to a standing position and walk all over.  It was so neat to watch the wheels moving as he put it all together.  Then he became OBSESSED with walking.  He would not give up.  Fall, back up, fall, back up - all with a HUGE smile on his face.  He was so proud.  Jason and I knew that he would really get going when he was at my parents and sure enough he did.  We also had lots of fun playing with Jamesy boy, spending time with my Grandpa (or Grandpa Jim to Will), Shady Glen lunch, naps, runs and yummy home cooked meals.  We missed Jason lots though and we were both excited to come home and show Daddy the new tricks!

Love this picture.  Its so cute because Will's comfort is to rub his hair or head and you can see him going for his hair during this hug!  Love

Big boy in the rocking chair.  Loved having his feet hang.

Playing ball with Grandpa Jim

Grandson, Grandma and Great Grandpa - we are lucky!

Finally big enough to ride the train

Chasing each other through the house - Will in the front door - James out the back door

Snowman James!  This was right before he wouldn't let us take a picture so he went face first into the snow revolting.  It was awesome!
