Annual Harvey Party 2012

Every year since I was very VERY young my mom and dad have hosted the annual summer harvey party.  Since we have been in Chicago timing never worked out where Jason and I were able to come home for it.  This year we were really excited to be home for the big party and spend the week by the Pool.  For the first couple days Chris, Mel, Tessa and Deccie were home too!

Tessa threw Bob Bob a birthday party the first night we were home!  Complete with Princess plates, napkins, cups, crowns and homemade cupcakes made by the little miss!!!  She was so excited to have a surprise party for Bob Bob - only issue was she told him every detail the second she got home with all the decorations.

Ready to party!

Will was more then willing to put on the Birthday crown

Will getting in on the cupcake action

The next day was party time and there was lots of setting up to be done.  Lucky for Bob Bob he had two excellent helpers for the soda and beer cooler.  They were a great team.

The Harvey party was a blast but a total bust with weather.  It rained SOOOO hard and everyone was moved indoors which was my moms total nightmare.  Everyone still had a great time and I am glad we made it home.  Jason had to go back to Chicago for work but Will and I stayed in CT for lots of fun.  We played at the big playground, yummy trip to Shady Glen, lunch with Grandpa Jim at his house, lots of swimming, eating cherry tomatoes of the vine at Grandma's house, swings, cho cho's and lots of music and dancing.  So much to do!  Will turned into a big ham this trip and got really into Grandpa playing his music real loud and dancing.  He also is now 100% obsessed with Grandpa - my mom and I basically were used only to get him food, water and to and from activities - Grandpa was the party guy!  Thanks Mom and Dad for an awesome week!!! So relaxing!

"Its ok if I jump off this chair - Grandma always catches me!"
"Hey Grandpa what ya eating?  Great can I have some!"

The summer adventures of Will and Justus...

This summer Will and his besets bud Justus have had lots of fun.  Many trips to the beach, pool, playgrounds, countless goldfish, baby food packets and games of chase!  Well we are not sure if they are both playing the same game but Will runs away (typically going to find a toy to play with) and Justus runs with excitement behind Jenny or I to hide!  Its pretty cute - two different games but both get so excited.  Her are some of my favorite pictures of the summer!

Really busy with their office work

Swimming and airplane watching

Snack time of course!

"By Mr. Tom!!  Wish you didn't have to leave for work.  You are much more fun then our moms"

Clothes not required! Will and Justus 17 months old

An awesome visit with T + L

Last week we were supposed to have a big crew in Chicago - but my mom was not feeling well so thing were not looking good for our visitors.  I woke up in the middle of the night to check the time and saw an email from Terry and Lisa that said they were still coming!!  We were so excited!!!!  We woke up early got our run in and walked to the train station waiting their arrival!  Will knows Lisa from the week at the beach but had not seen Terry in so long.  Lets just say Will was OBSESSED with Terry.  Basically signed "more" and pointed to Terry all week.  We did so many fun things - playground, shopped, dinner at Mia's, walk to the lake, trip to the beach, Evanston and a fun run with Lisa while Terry and Will played.

After a morning at the park Will was so tired.  He had his lunch on Terry's lap watching all his favorite shows

Will helping with the bill after dinner - THANK YOU TERRY AND LISA

Will followed Terry all the way out in the water till he was up to his neck.  It was so cute.

Coolin' off in Texas

Literally that statement is true!  We cooled off in Texas.  When we went to Texas over the 4th of July it was cooler in Texas then it was in Chicago!!!  Crazy I know.  We had an awesome time - and Will was completely obsessed with Grandmommy (Barb).  I mean of course she spoiled him rotten and he basically got anything he wanted all week but he had a ball running all over that house, rolling on the carpet, swimming in her pool, watering anything in her back yard, picking her black eyed peas and swinging for HOURS!  It was a great trip and so nice to see all of Jason's family.  Here are some pictures from the trip!

It was probably 6am in this picture.  The second Will would wake up he would be knocking on Barbs back door to go out and swing.  Of course Barb would take him the second she woke up!  He was in heaven - swing swing swing!  When she would stop he would sign "more more"

I was a total sucker at the St. Louis airport and bought Will three golf balls that look like a tennis ball, football and basketball.  They actually were really cool and came in handy when Barb broke out the putting green.  Will was obsessed and played with the putter all week.  Of course he nearly killed all of us swinging that thing around but he loved it.

Best story hour I have ever been to - at the Frisco Public Library

Will getting the royal treatment with Donna reading a book during his bubba

Cooling off during a swing.  The part I didn't capture was what was really going on.  Will wanted to hold the hose and swing so what did Barb do - gave him the hose while he swing.  HAHA  it was hysterical.  The kid was in heaven

Checking out the black eyed pea crop

Barb taking Will for a run/walk

Cousins  after a swim - Colt 4, Mckenzie, 2, Will 17 months

It was actually raining so Will couldn't take the Gator for his first test drive, probably better off :)

Now this is a yard!  Will just stood there looking all over.  Poor city boy has never seen so much grass!!
